"BUT I PAUSED"

Today
I wanted to say
some words ~
beautiful words.

Something soft
to touch your heart.
Something warm
to touch you lightly.

And hold you even tighter,
but...
I paused
To think
wondering ~

In the back of my mind
If you would
Turn me away ~

I needed to say
Something beautiful~
Something to let you know
I care.

and

I searched
and
Searched
Grasping for
Thoughts
and
needing Time.

But I paused~~~
and the moment was gone.
